The line graph shows the return on equity for all commercial banks and savings institutions insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) from the 1st quarter, 2006 to the 2nd quarter, 2011. The graph shows that the return on equity (7.6%) for the 2nd quarter, 2011 has reached return on equity levels last reached during 2007.
