This horizontal bar graph shows for three factors that were present in the discussions leading up to a major decision, how often the decision’s result was above what was expected and how often the result was below what was expected.

The data is based on a 2008 survey conducted by McKinsey.   2,327 executives were surveyed.

The data suggests that when three desired factors are present in discussions leading up to a decision, it is more likely that results beyond expected would be obtained versus results below expected.
