This horizontal bar graph shows for three factors that were present in the discussions leading up to a major decision, how often the decision’s result was above what was expected and how often the result was below what was expected.
The data is based on a 2008 survey conducted by McKinsey. 2,327 executives were surveyed.
The data suggests that when three desired factors are present in discussions leading up to a decision, it is more likely that results beyond expected would be obtained versus results below expected.
Other factors that influence decisions making are identified in the report on the survey. The report can be read by clicking here (PDF file). |
